As early as 1995, Sun Yat-Sen University started the microelectronics undergraduate program, and has established a relatively complete microelectronics talent training system. In June 2009, the Ministry of Education approved Sun Yat-sen University to build the third batch of “National Integrated Circuit Talent Training Base”; in 2015, Sun Yat-sen University was approved to prepare for the construction of a national model microelectronics college.

Shenzhen Polytechnic

As early as the beginning of this century, Guangdong University of Technology opened the “Electronic Science and Technology” undergraduate program. In recent years, several majors have been opened successively, such as “Electronic Information Science and Technology”, “Integrated Circuit Design and Integrated System”, “Microelectronics and Solid State Electronics” and “Integrated Circuit Engineering”.

In 2020, integrated circuit related colleges have emerged.
